These are the instructions for anyone who wants to set up a group forest.
A group can be your family, your local girl scout troop, your Grove, etc. or you could be a business whether that's a Mom and Pop shop or a Corporation. Anything where you want to keep track of a forest separate from your individual one and that your members group can all help to grow.
You can choose to keep a separate account if you like which some businesses prefer, but if you want every donation to count then go ahead and open the fundraiser in your personal account.
To set up a new account Click on My Account and select Create from the dropdown.
Once on that page it will ask for your information. Use the dropdown and select Organisation.
Once you fill out your information you'll want to go to your MyForest page. Select MyForest from the left hand side.
In this sample below, you see a SoulTree's partner account. NatureHavenShop has been a SoulTree (formerly WaterCarrier) since 2016, so the owner has already funded the planting of over 1,400 trees. She has had a dedicated email address separate from her personal donation as many business owner's tend to keep separate records anyway.
Keep in mind you don't have to have a business. This could your Grove, bookclub, soccer team, etc. Just make sure you use an email dedicated to your group.
Scroll down to the green arrow in the sample.
The green arrow points to "Let's Get Started". This is where you will want to start your group or business fundraisers from.
Right below it says "View my Forest Fundraiser". Anytime you want to check on your Fundraiser page you will log into your dedicated account and click this button. You can make edits and update your Forest at any time. The only thing that won't change is the URL to get to your page.
Why set up a Fundraiser page?
To share the amount of trees your group has funded!
From this point on every time the owner of NatureHavenShop has a SoulTree donation she will come make it on her own fundraiser page.
If this was a Grove or family or any other type of group, the owner would share the URL page with the group member's so that everyone can come and help grow this forest. In fact, NatureHavenShop could share her page in her online store and her customers could come and make a donation.
Great! Now how do I set up my Fundraiser page? Let's take a look at that here.
